It is a 1/2 mile dirt oval track nicknamed "The nasty track of the north!".Yeah its crazy fast down there, never lift off the throttle down there or your goin to the back! We have a good setup in the car and are looking forward to getting things started! Just want to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors for your continued support of our racing team. October 27, 2011
The 2011 racing season has come to a
close for the Kelsey Racing team. This year the team, for the second
year in a row, made Mohawk International Raceway there home track
and although the season started out slow the team turned it around
and rebounded for a great finish in the points standings.
The team was sitting 13th overall after
the third race of the season due to some bad luck, mainly in the
form of flat tires. However, the team never gave up and fought hard
to come back and in the last race took 3rd spot overall in the 2011
Mohawk International Raceway Sportsman points championship for the
2nd year in a row. It was then decided in mid-august that the team
would take a run at the Super Dirt Series and travelled throughout
Northern New York State, Southern Ontario and winding up the
championship in Brockville ,Ontario where the team had a strong run
starting 29th and finishing 9th place giving them the 7th overall
postion in points just 1 point away from 6th in the Super Dirt
Series(Sportsman) points chase. The team was happy with there
results considering this is only the second season in the Sportsman
division. In the last two years the team has put together some
pretty solid stats.
Brent would like to take this
opportunity to thank his wife Natasha and his Mom & Dad,Crew Chief
Bob Clingo, along with there great sponsors for a great season. A&W(Rockland),
Pro Clean Car Wash, Rockland Plaza, Kooltech(Rockland), Castrol,
NGK, Fashion Workwear, Rockland Ford, M.Bray Construction, Roy
Motorsports, PM Promotions and Bicknell Racing Products.
